You’ve outgrown your website. What you need is a platform.
I build custom platforms for people who’ve outgrown Squarespace, Wix, and the pile of no-code tools they started on. You work directly with me — no agency layers, no offshore handoffs.
You didn’t outgrow your website on purpose. It just happened.
You started with a site that worked fine. Then the business got real, and the workarounds started stacking up.
You're copying form submissions into a spreadsheet by hand, every week.
Your members, applicants, or customers have nowhere to log in.
Every new need means another $40-a-month tool. You're paying for six.
Something in the chain breaks, and nobody can tell you why.
You've been quoted $75,000 by an agency and $600 by a stranger overseas, and neither number felt like the truth.
None of this means you did anything wrong. It means you grew.
The site and the machinery behind it.
A brochure site is a pamphlet. A platform does work for you while you sleep.
Applications & intake that don't need babysitting
Multi-step forms with save-and-resume, and validation that catches problems early.
A real admin dashboard
Review, approve, assign, and act on what comes in, without touching a spreadsheet.
Accounts & access
Secure login for you, your team, or your members.
Email that fires on the right trigger
Welcome sequences, notifications, and hand-offs that respond to what people do, not a timer.
A database you own
Your data, your infrastructure, exportable — not locked inside someone's SaaS.
Monitoring from day one
So you find out something's wrong before your customers do.
You own all of it — code, data, and hosting.
Three steps. No surprises.
Discovery call — 30 minutes, free
You tell me what's breaking and what you're trying to launch. If custom isn't the right answer, I'll say so on the call and point you somewhere better.
Fixed-scope proposal
Written scope, line-item pricing, milestones. You know the number before any work starts, and it doesn't move unless you change the scope.
Build & launch
Milestone-based, so you see progress as it lands. At handoff you get the platform, the code, documentation, and a walkthrough video. No lock-in.
When to call someone else
I’d rather tell you now than on the invoice.
A template or no-code tool would genuinely do the job.
Sometimes it would. I'll say so on the call — you'll have saved yourself $10,000.
Your budget is under $8,000.
No hard feelings — I'll point you toward a better fit.
You need it live in two weeks.
Rushed platforms are the ones that break later.
You'd rather work with a full team and an account manager.
That's an agency, and a good one is worth it. What I offer is the opposite: one person, start to finish.
Who you’re working with
I’m Brent West. Twenty years in technology — most recently an Engineering Lead at Gecko Robotics, a staff engineer at Bluecore before that, and earlier responsible for the reliability and uptime of mission-critical financial systems managing $200B+ in assets.
When you hire me, I’m the one who builds it — start to finish, no handoff to a team you never met. I’m also opening a franchise of my own, so I know what it’s like to be on your side of the table too.
I needed software, so I built it.
When I started modeling the finances for my own salon franchise, I found spreadsheets and guesswork. So I built Salon Ops AI— you put in the levers (price, volume, staffing, rent, royalties) and it runs the month: margin, cash flow, break-even. It’s not a portfolio piece — it’s software I use to run my own business.
That’s the work in miniature: take the logic that lives in an owner’s head and a spreadsheet, and turn it into software that holds up.
Platform builds typically start at $8,000.
Most projects land between $8,000 and $25,000 depending on scope.
If your budget is well under that, I’ll tell you on the first call and point you somewhere better.
